AYDIN SAVCILLI SPP PROJECT EROSION CONTROL

In order to position the solar panels in the Solar Power Plant project area, which was being built by Tekno Ray Solar in the Aydın district Savcıllı location, it was required to open terraces every 1 meter due to the elevation difference. These terraces were made by filling the weak material of the field without compacting. Therefore, with wind and rain, this uncompressed silty material was eroded and endangered the platforms on which the panels were placed. For this reason, protection measures against erosion had to be taken.

At this point, it was considered to apply shotcrete with the conventional system. But Maccaferri Turkey was recommended as the most effective solution in terms of ease of implementation and cost efficiency as MacMat R1. Erosion control cover was applied with MacMat R1 6822 GN for slope protection application on an area of ​​60.000 m². MacMat R is a reinforced geomat material obtained by composite manufacturing of extruded three-dimensional polymer fibers on double twisted steel wire mesh reinforcements. Due to the filling slopes of 45 degrees, ancreation was made of J type construction steel with a length of 1 m per square meter. Due to the ease of application compared to conventional systems, which is another advantage, the application in a difficult area for manufacturing was completed in a short time because the MacMat R1 can be easily carried by two people. As a result, we had the opportunity to test our application during the rainy season, and we observed that the MacMat R1 has completely solved our customer's problem.
