Challenge

Majlis Perbandaran Seremban had called for a ‘Design & Build’ tender for a slope repair works in Taman Rasah Jaya, Seremban. Apparently, the slope behind this housing area had failed even after two rectification works with rubber pitch wall. This had in addition caused water infiltration and subsequently resulted in the slope failure.

Solution

The consultant of this turnkey project had contacted Maccaferri for design input and technical advice. A 3-tier, 60° angle Green Terramesh System was proposed after much calculated consideration were given to the excavation profile as well as the internal drainage system. This particular design was selected from many other proposed systems due to among others, its aesthetics value to support vegetation and cost saving factor. This project was completed in approximately 3 month’s time.
