ROAD DELVINE KARDHIQ LOT 6

The Kardhiq-Delvina Road is 33 km long, it lies in the south of Albania and crosses the district of Gjirokastra, Delvina and Saranda. The axis starts at the Kardhiqi Bridge and ends at the entrance to the city of Delvina. The completion of the Kardhiq-Delvinë road shortens the travel time from Tirana to Saranda by 3 hours, giving a further boost to the development of the area and Albania.

For this project Maccaferri Balkans worked together with the designer to implement a design which fulfils the needs of the Investor.

The terrain of this road section was very mountainous and it was needed to design soil reinforcement walls. The best solution for this problem was using Green terramesh reinforced with Paralink geogrid for the best performance.
